Privacy Policy

What AlignBusiness collects, why it is used, which providers help process it, and the controls available to users.

Effective: September 16, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect information needed to create accounts, operate the workspace, provide requested features, process payments, maintain security, support users, and improve AlignBusiness.

  • Account information such as name, email address, authentication data, plan, and account settings.
  • Business information you provide, including company details, goals, financial inputs, sales information, documents, prompts, workflow responses, and generated deliverables.
  • Usage and device information such as pages visited, feature interactions, browser or device details, IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.
  • Payment and subscription information such as plan, billing status, transaction identifiers, and payment-provider customer identifiers. Full payment-card numbers are handled by our payment processor rather than stored directly by AlignBusiness.
  • Information from connected services when you choose to authorize an integration. The information received depends on the permissions you grant and the feature you use.
  • Support and communications information when you contact us, request help, report an issue, or respond to a service message.

2. Sources of information

  • Information you provide directly through account registration, prompts, forms, uploads, workflows, and support requests.
  • Information generated through your use of the service, including usage, billing, security, and diagnostic events.
  • Information returned by third-party services you intentionally connect or use with AlignBusiness.
  • Information from payment, authentication, email, hosting, analytics, infrastructure, or AI service providers used to operate the service.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, and maintain your AlignBusiness workspace.
  • Generate requested AI outputs, documents, analyses, recommendations, and workflow results.
  • Remember business context so you do not have to repeatedly re-enter the same information where the product supports that functionality.
  • Process subscriptions, billing events, account changes, and support requests.
  • Protect accounts, detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, investigate incidents, and maintain service reliability.
  • Understand feature usage and improve product quality, usability, safety, and performance.
  • Communicate service, security, billing, account, and product information related to your use of AlignBusiness.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. AI processing

AlignBusiness uses AI service providers to power certain features. When you use an AI-powered feature, the prompt, relevant business context, files or text you submit, and the resulting output may be transmitted to an AI provider as necessary to perform the request.

Our current product uses the OpenAI API for multiple AI-assisted features. Provider-specific handling is subject to the provider’s business/API terms and the service configuration in effect at the time. OpenAI currently states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer opts in to data sharing.

Do not submit information you are not authorized to share. Before entering highly sensitive, regulated, or confidential information, consider whether that information is necessary for the task and whether your organization has approved its use with the service.

5. Service providers and third parties

We use service providers to operate AlignBusiness. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us, subject to their applicable agreements and privacy practices. Providers may change as the product evolves.

  • Supabase for authentication, database, and related backend services.
  • Vercel for application hosting and delivery infrastructure.
  • Stripe for subscription checkout, payment processing, and billing management.
  • OpenAI for AI-assisted generation, analysis, and workflow functionality.
  • Resend for transactional email such as account, password, billing, or service messages.
  • Other infrastructure, security, monitoring, communications, or analytics providers as reasonably needed to operate the service.

6. How information may be shared

We do not sell your personal information or business data to data brokers or advertisers, and we do not currently use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

We may share or process information with service providers that help operate AlignBusiness; with a third party when you direct us to connect, send, or disclose information to that service; when required by valid legal process; when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the service; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law.

7. Connected services

Integrations are optional unless a feature specifically requires one. When you connect an external account, AlignBusiness may receive and use information covered by the permissions you approve. You can disconnect supported integrations through the applicable account or provider controls. Disconnecting an integration does not necessarily delete information previously imported into your AlignBusiness workspace.

8. Cookies, local storage, and technical data

AlignBusiness may use cookies, browser storage, session technology, and similar mechanisms that are necessary for authentication, preferences, security, and core product functionality. Hosting and infrastructure providers may also generate standard server and diagnostic logs. If we introduce non-essential advertising or tracking technologies, we will update our disclosures and provide controls where required by law.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, preserve account and business records, maintain security and fraud-prevention records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business operations. Retention periods vary based on the type of data, account status, feature used, legal requirements, and whether data remains in backups or provider systems.

When an account or data is deleted, some information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, fraud-prevention systems, transaction records, or records we are legally required to retain.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Additional information is available on the Security page.

11. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to confirm whether we process your personal information, request access or a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, or opt out of certain uses such as targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or certain profiling. We do not currently sell personal data or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights that apply to you. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request, and some requests may be limited by legal exceptions.

12. Privacy requests and appeals

You may submit an access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out, or other privacy request by emailing support@alignedu.net from the email associated with your account when possible. Please use a subject such as “Privacy Request” and describe the request clearly.

If we deny a privacy request and applicable law gives you a right to appeal, you may reply to the decision or email the same address with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We will review the appeal and provide the information required by applicable law, including information about relevant regulatory complaint options when required.

13. Sensitive information

Do not enter full Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, bank passwords, private API keys, government account passwords, or other highly sensitive credentials into general-purpose prompts or text fields. If a third-party provider must collect sensitive information for payment, identity verification, banking, or a government filing, use that provider’s secure interface unless AlignBusiness expressly provides a feature designed for that data.

14. Children

AlignBusiness is intended for business users age 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to AlignBusiness, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

15. International use

AlignBusiness and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where providers operate. If you access the service from another jurisdiction, your information may be transferred to countries with different data-protection laws, subject to applicable legal safeguards.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as AlignBusiness evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date and, when appropriate or legally required, additional notice.

17. Contact

Privacy questions or requests may be sent to support@alignedu.net.

If a separate written agreement with an organization contains more specific data-handling terms, that agreement controls for the covered organization and service to the extent of any conflict.
